The area
Santa Margalida is a small village in the north of the island, 8 km away from one of the main tourist centres of Mallorca, Can Picafort, with its beaches and a wide range of leisure activities. The village is very close to two natural parks, one of them, Son Real, rich in archaeological sites and S’Albufera with its large extensions that invite you to go hiking and cycling. Another beach in the region popular with surfers and kite-surfers is Son Serra de Marina. About 15 minutes drive away is the village of Sineu with one of the most important local markets of Mallorca (on Wednesdays). For shopping we also recommend the city of Inca with its Outlet Stores and Palma de Mallorca, as the capital of the island. For accommodation in Sa Lluna Blava we recommend a rental car.
